Agility FAQs
Q. At what age can my dog start agility?
Dogs can begin tackling equipment at 14 months or older. However, younger dogs are welcome in our classes to build confidence around the equipment and teach valuable foundation skills. This makes the transition onto the equipment easier when they’re old enough to tackle it!
Q. Do I need to be physically fit?
You don’t have to be an athlete, but some degree of running is involved! Our agility classes are focused on having fun and giving things a go, so if a slow jog is your fastest, that’s fine!
Q. I want to compete, will these classes get me there?
These classes will teach you everything you need to get started. We want the classes to be as accessible as possible and focus on building foundations and accuracy rather than competition and speed. Once you reach a certain point we can help you find classes that take you to the next level.
